Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme is a program initiated in August by the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma. However, this scheme aims to provide monetary assistance to Assam females who want to get further education. Moreover this initiative in turn helps in declining the rate of child marriage. All girls enrolled in higher secondary education would receive ₹1000 per month for graduate students that amount will be ₹1250 and for postgraduate students ₹2500 will be given via this program. At a presentation in Guwahati Mr. Sarma gave monetary payments to the girl’s students for the first month. Other events were also held around the state where the girls received their first installment through the Assam Nijut Moina Scheme first Installment program. However, many ongoing government schemes aim to promote women’s education by giving them free admission. Still, this scheme exclusively provides funds to reduce girls’ dropout rates while studying in schools and colleges. • The candidates need to be residents of Assam permanently.
• The candidate has to be a female.

Mode of Payment

• The first installment of the scheme was given to all the beneficiaries on an event organized by the Assam state government on 6th October 2024.

• The female student enrolling in the first year of graduation (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) would receive financial aid of INR 1250 per month for a total of INR 12500 in 10 months.
• The female students enrolling in the first-year post-graduation program (M.A. M.Sc. M.Com. or B. Ed.) would receive financial aid of INR 2500 per month for a total of INR 25000 in 10 months.
