Overview of Amma Two Wheeler Scheme 2024

In February 2018 the honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi revealed this plan on the occasion of the former Tamil Nadu chief minister’s 70th birthday.  In honor of Mrs. Jayalalithaa, the former Tamil Nadu chief minister, the Amma Two Wheeler Scheme Application Form has been made available. The government is providing working women with a 50% subsidy or a discount of up to Rs. 25,000 when they buy a two-wheeler under this initiative.

Purpose of Amma Two Wheeler Scheme

The government launched the Amma two-wheeler program to honour the former Tamil Nadu prime minister and assist working women in purchasing two wheelers. Therefore working women who fulfil the requirements for this program will receive financial assistance from the government. Thus this program will help in empowering the women in the society.

Advantages of Amma Two Wheeler Scheme 2024

• Approximately one lakh women nationwide will benefit from this program each year.
• The recipients would get up to Rs. 25,000 or a 50% discount when they buy two-wheelers.
• Only auto gear or gearless two-wheelers are available for purchase by applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant should be between the ages of 18 and 40.
• The applicant’s yearly income shouldn’t exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
• The applicant needs to have completed at least eighth grade.
• The applicant must possess a current learner’s permit or two-wheeler driver’s license.
• Working women who live in isolated, hilly, or abandoned locations will be given preference.

Steps to Apply for Amma Two Wheeler Scheme

Step 1: After downloading the application form from the links below, applicants can apply for the scheme or pick it up from the collectorate’s block office or urban local body office.

Step 2: Complete the application by providing all the required information as specified.

Step 3: Send the field application to the same office dual-signed together with important papers.

Step 4: An acknowledgement receipt with your unique application number on it will be given to you by the officer. The acknowledgement receipt must be picked up.

Steps to Claim for Subsidy

You must submit the claim form as soon as you have the Amma two-wheeler scheme registration certificate. The authority will release the subsidy amount straight into your bank account or loan account. The steps to complete the claim form are as follows:
